Home Sweet Houghton fills the gap in online information about what it’s like to live in Michigan’s scenic and snowy Upper Peninsula, especially the sister communities of Hancock and Houghton, home to Michigan Tech (aka Michigan Technological University). When my husband was considering a job at MTU, we found virtually nothing that would tell us what it would be like for our family to live in this area. Could we find enough things for all of us to do, could we get a decent bottle of wine? Here, we set the record straight (and the answer to both questions, is yes).
